While this overlaps some with sustainable business, this area is much broader and completely charitable. We are working with whole villages at a time in training, demonstrations and working with the local village government to cooperate with local farmers as a whole in beneficial agricultural business training. We also provide training courses/seminars in how to use agriculture to support yourself. Our farm becomes the test ground, taking the risk away from the small-scale farmer. KT tests seed varieties and planting methods and determines what are the best seeds and methods to use in this context so the local farmer doesn’t have to take that risk.

KT creates a local and long-distance coastal network for former interns and local farmers to be able to grow their agribusinesses.  Former interns stay connected to the farming and market trends of KT and are able to be a local arm of KT in a new community.  This provides for a much further reaching of KT’s markets to many more local communities that would otherwise be overlooked.
